The Taquitos return to The Camp Store at the Carlsbad State Beach Campground
The Camp Store (see their website) is one of our favorite venues. Enjoy some 60s-70s music with your friends. There is a lot of seating including picnic tables with umbrellas, or bring your chairs. You can also order beer, wine, and pizza from the Campstore.
Bring a jacket as this venue is outside right on the edge of the sea.
Driving Directions
The campground is located 3 miles south of Carlsbad on Carlsbad Blvd (Hwy 101). 7201 Carlsbad Blvd, Carlsbad, CA 92008 (Google map)
Take Interstate 5, exit Poinsettia Ln. Go west to Carlsbad Bl, and turn north.
Make a legal U-turn at Breakwater Rd (1st light). Proceed south on Carlsbad Blvd to the South Carlsbad State Beach Campground entrance on the right.
NOTE: The Camp Store concert venue is ONLY for drop-off and not concert parking.
There’s a large parking lot at the shopping center on the southwest corner of Poinsettia and Avenida Encinas, near J-Box, El Pollo Loco, and Ralph’s, then a 1/2 mile walk to The Camp Store. Parking is also available on Avenida Encinas and on Ponto Road but both require a 600-yard + walk.
Always be extra careful crossing the highway, we suggest using the crosswalk at Poinsettia. |
